Scattered Album Track List Revealed! Song Story #1

Hi all! My goodness gracious, it’s been forever. In case you haven’t noticed, the band (Tony, Dave, other Dave, and Katie) has been laying low the last couple months while I’ve been focusing on some other areas of my life (proposing to my best gal, planning said wedding, and transitioning into a new full-time Worship Director position will do that to ya!). However, we are once again ready to kick things into high gear!

Even though gigs have been scarce the last couple of months (though, mark your calendars for October 2nd at The Block Food Truck Park near UTSA!), we have been working hard on our upcoming “Scattered” full length album. This is our first full length release since 2011! We are super pumped about these songs and are ready to share them with the world! As it sits today, the final track list for Scattered is as follows –

Story:
This is a love song of sorts. The Scattered LP is an overtly Christian record, with lots of spiritual and vertical worship songs. In fact, On My Way To You is the only lovey dovey tune! It’s about missing your loved ones. It’s about distance. It’s about longing. The concept for this song came about during my 2014 Stages EP tour. I thought about missing my family, my friends, my loved ones... I came up with the "on my way to you" line while driving and it gave me more romantic connotations. So I ran with it!

As of today, believe it or not – the band hasn’t even heard this song yet! It’s pretty new. I’m very excited about it. It’s likely going to be the heaviest tune we have ever tracked and will work really well as a concert opener and closer. Lots of energy in this one! There’s even a progressive, heavy instrumental break down in the middle. Can’t wait to get this one recorded! We’ll have our work cut out for us. It’s a tough one!
